Hello everybody!
A cold rainy day as yesterday but maybe I"m getting used to the London weather! Not the same for the underground, we still miss some stops sometimes!
I got up with the news of the Trump triumph which shocked the world. Everybody in the tube was reading the Evening standard, everybody at school at school was commenting on the election, we learnt a lot of adjectives like astonishing, ghastly,dreadful, disappointing for expressing what happened.
At school we practiced different techniques to teach vocabulary with a lot of comprehension questions.
Then we analyzed how to use parts of movies for teaching , using the screenplay script because it contains stage directions too. He suggested a role play activity in which they dramatize the scene while watching the movie without sound.
An interesting activity is also playing a song and the students to write what they feel, the atmosphere and describe what might happen. This could be a basis for writing a short story.
